"Big 40th ANNIVERSARY PARTY."
Your Help is Needed!
The Arizona Chapter became a member of FMCA, July 13,1968. To honor our 40th Anniversary, we are planning to have a birthday party- a "BIG BIRTHDAY PARTY."
Your board has agreed to ask members of the other 13, Region 3 chapters to join us as guests to our party. These chapters are primarily located in Arizona. We will not be asking the general FMCA family to join us.
The date and place has been determined.
Date: April 10 - 13, 2008
Place: Beaudry RV Resort
5151 South Country Club
Tucson, Arizona
Preparations are already started. The board has asked Lil Hoover and Len Pigg to be co-rally chairpersons. They both have many years of large rally planning experience and they will be very valuable assets in the initial and follow-up planning.
The planning operation will be similar used for RAMBLE planning. Captains and sub-captains reporting to officers assigned to specific duties. Example: The parking officer will have the following responsibilities; parking layout, security, safety, handicap parking and VIP parking.
Each officer will have one of these responsibilities; Advertising and Commercial contacts: Finance, Registration and 50/50; Information and Documentation; Parking Layout, Security, Safety, Handicap and VIP parking; Seminars, Golf Carts, Radios, Signs and Crafts; Commercial Exibits; Rally Services
Some of the items being considered are
--- Everyone attending will pay a rally fee
--- 2 Catered dinners plus 1 brunch
--- Vendors exhibits
--- Seminars
--- Show Coaches
--- Ice Cream social
--- Birthday party
--- 2 nights Outside Entertainment (Professional)
--- 1 night Inside Entertainment
--- Food vendors
--- Door prizes
--- Special awards (donated by National FMCA)
--- Red Hat tea
--- Pet Parade
--- Men and Women Fashion Show
--- 50/50
--- Invite National Officers, Rocky Mtn. Officers, Past Area Officers from AZ chapter, Past AZ Presidents, past AZ Chapter members.
Also, as the Arizona Chapter will be the host, we need all of you to volunteer, as Officers, Captains, Sub-Captains or volunteers. A list of duties will be available at each rally and on our website.
Come join us in a great celebration, not too many chapters are older than we are.
